CLASS SCHEDULE:
“Classical Egyptian Technique and Combinations” - Take your dancing to the next level with challenging hip technique that will enhance your performance. Focusing on personal style and music interpretation, each dancer will bring out their “dance personality” and put it to use in each dance combination. Special attention to body language and facial expression will take place in this unique class, with exercises to help dancers unleash new ways of interpreting the music.
"Reaching New Heights” - Bozenka will give each student specialized attention on transitions, execution of movement, aesthetics, and musicality (what Bozenka likes to refer to as (T.E.A.M.). To take your dancing to a higher level, awareness of all these elements is essential. Let Bozenka guide you through exercises (dance combinations) that will help you project better posture, strengthen your articulation of movements and put a spark into every performance. This challenging class will also incorporate improvisation to unleash self-expression and will focus on musicality.
“Latin/Arabic Fusion Combinations By Bozenka” - Learn how to put your Salsa, Cha-Cha and more into your belly dancing. This moderately paced class will teach you simple and flavorful combinations to incorporate a Latin dance flare into your own dance routine.
“Facial Expressions and Body Language” - This is one of Bozenka’s most popular workshops among dancers who are at an advanced level but is encouraged for dancers of all levels. This workshop focuses on the interpretation between Dancer and Music as well as the communication between Dancer and Audience. Bozenka uses creative methods to encourage dancers to interpret the feelings caused by the music and to learn to convey those feelings to the audience. Dancers learn how appropriate body language
and using facial expressions take their performance to a higher level. This workshop is recommended for groups of less than 50 participants.
ABOUT BOZENKA:
Meaning “touched by God,” the name Bozenka suits this performer, whose gift for the art of bellydancing transcends her Cuban-Czech heritage. She enthralls audiences and inspires performers throughout the world. As a resident of Miami, Bozenka started her training at The Mid Eastern Dance Exchange in 1998 under the leadership of Tamalyn Dallal. She quickly distinguished herself, developing an elegant, classic, earthy and charismatic style that not only earned her the prestigous title, “Miss America of Bellydance 2000,” but in July of 2006, she brought home the golden crown from the Ahlan Wa Sahlan dance festival in Cairo, Egypt. She was among 150 dancers from all over the world that participated in this contest, and won the festival’s competition event with her undeniably powerful yet uniquely graceful style. This achievement was even recongized by CNN, which broadcasted the even worldwide with it’s headline stating “An American Belly Dancer has taken the Egyptian crown!”
Ever passionate about her work, Bozenka has continued to flourish and hone her craft under the tutelage of world-renowned master teachers. Bozenka has choreographed for Latin pop star Shakira, performed with “Alabina” during their concert tour in Miami Beach, and entertained many celebrities including Sean Connery, Donald Trump, Hugh Hefner, Madonna, Enrique Iglesias, and Alejandro Sanz. Bozenka has been a belly dance globe-trekker for several years touring with the popular dance company, the “Bellydance Superstars,” as a featured soloist throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia.
